Sensibilization

After completing a five year program (1998-2002) orientated to the development of primary health care development activities in the Kisantu region.

The schedule of our actions in RD Congo follows a global development perspective which aims to improve health conditions and increase revenue sources of the population.

Our actions are focussed in two major directions:

  • improving access to basic services: access to quality healthcare structures, access to a prepayment system.
  • developing agricultural cooperatives, which will enable better food self sufficiency and help the population to have a secure income in a market economy.

Our intervention is focussed on connected areas:

  • the Kisantu health district
  • the Mbamba, Kilenda and Mayinda health perimeter.

Achievement 1

Organisational and agricultural development support of the Mbamba, Kilenda and Mayinda rural population: the increase and diversification of agricultural as well as handicraft production and the organisation of sales within sales cooperatives so as to enable them to satisfy their needs by using their own resources.

Achievement 2

Improving financial access to healthcare for the rural population of Kisantu, through the creation of a health insurance based on sales cooperatives and the improvement of agricultural production.

Achievement 3

The improvement of primary healthcare quality in the Kisantu rural health area.

The aim here is to enable a district and a healthcare area to be operational; to improve childcare, access to drinking water and above all, to foster competencies and skills.
